Taupe Eyes

Aunque en principio puede parecer un color aburrido, en los últimos meses me he hecho una gran fan de este color para el maquillaje de ojos. Puede ser aplicado tanto para un smokey eye, como simplemente para delinear los ojos de forma sutil. Además creo que es un color que favorece a todos los colores de ojos y a cualquier tono de piel.

La sombra en crema. Maybelline Color Tattoo en 40-Permanent Taupe, ya os hablaba de este producto en este post, es un producto que se puede aplicar como base para que las sombras duren más tiempo o él solo pudiendo controlar fácilmente la intensidad de color que se desea aplicar.

La sombra en polvo. Catrice Absolute Eye Colour en 350 -Starlight Expresso, aunque el packaging no es espeicialmente atrayente la calidad de la sombra y el color son geniales, con una fórmula suave aplicado sobre todo el párpado o sobre la cuenca del ojo.

El lápiz. Este es sin duda mi preferido de los tres, es un habitual de mi rutina diaria, Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal en 004-Taupe, lo uso para delinear el ojo de forma sutil, enmarcando ligeramente la mirada. La fórmula es genial, suave en la aplicación y duradera a lo largo del día.

Taupe is not really the most interesting and exciting color but lately, I have found myself reaching for this tone everyday for my eye makeup. It can be applied from the the more subtle and natural way in the day to a more dramatic smoky eye at night. It is also a color that would suit all eye colors and skin tones, in fact I think it helps to pop out the blue in my eyes.

The shadow. Catrice Absolute Eye Colour in 350 -Starlight Expresso, although the packaging is not really attractive, this product is a gem. Its buttery formula is great to apply in a quick wash of color all over the lid or focusing more in the socket.

The cream shadow. Maybelline Color Tattoo in 40-Permanent Taupe, I have already talked about this product in this post, and you can double this up as a base for more dramatic looks or on its one where you can easily control the intensity of the color. 

The eyeliner. The Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in 004-Taupe is no doubt my favourite of the three. It is an staple in my daily routine, I use it to line my upper and bottom lash line and it gives a very natural look yet defining softly the eye area. The formula of this product is really good: it applies very softly and last the whole day without smudging.

The eyes of the season

En cuestión de ojos, esta temporada apuesto todo al azul, pero no me refiero al azul 80's por todo el párpado, sino un ligero y sutil toque alrededor del ojo.

No se trata de nada radical, sino simplemente a la línea negra sumarle otra azul medio difuminada, (como en la foto), o en su variante, y mi forma preferida, rematar mi cat eye con una línea en el párpado inferior azul para dar un toque más moderno y menos usual. 

Azul. Dos opciones: sombra o lápiz. Con la sombra pues conseguir graduar la intensidad y difuminar más fácilmente como por ejemplo esta de Sephora, pero para un color más intenso y preciso un lápiz como éste de ZARA (ya no está disponible pero hay un montón de opciones similares) es perfecto. 

Negro. Para darle fuerza al maquillaje y conseguir un look moderno, evitando caer en un azul demodé, es básico el uso de un eyeliner negro. Aquí ya juega preferencia personal de uso, para mí estas son mis dos opciones favoritas: como lápiz el de Rimmel Scandaleyes y para una línea más definida  y precisa el Super Liner Perfect Slim de L'Oréal.

Pestañas. Mi teoría es que el más, es más. Yo aplico unas cuantas capas de Benefit They're real junto con Maxfactor False Lash Effect para conseguir unas pestañas con volumen.

Talking about eyes, this season I bet all on the blue. Don't get me wrong, I don't mean the classic blue 80's one (all over the lid), I am talking about a subtle touch around the eyes to make them pop.

It isn't nothing radical but to add another faded blue line to your usual black eyelook, as in the photo  above, or for a different twist and my favorite, updating my cat eye with a blue line on the lower lash line to give a more modern and less common touch.

Blue. Two options: shadow or pencil. With shadows you can it graduate the intensity and blend more easily such as this from Sephora, but for a more intense color and a precise application use a pencil like this  from ZARA (no longer available but there are plenty of similar options). 

Black. To give strength to the makeup and get a modern vibe, avoiding falling into a blue outmoded look, it is essential to use a black eyeliner. This is when each and everyone knows what works best for them, my personal preference are the Rimmel Scandaleyes pencil and for a more defined and precise line Super Liner Perfect Slim from L'Oreal. 

Eyelashes. In my books when it has to do with lashes more is more. I apply a few layers of the Benefit They're Real Mascara and pair it with Maxfactor False Lash Effect for voluminous lashes.
