Beauty Wishlist #1

El cambio de temporada anima no solamente a cambiar nuestro armario, si no también a incorporar más color y diferentes texturas en nuestra rutina de belleza. Por lo tanto, aquí os traigo mi lista de deseos de belleza para esta primavera.

Por un lado una base de maquillaje ligera y cómoda, siendo una gran fan de la línea Double Wear de Estée Lauder esta nueva BB Cream me llama mucho, además un colorete coral como el Final Cut de NARS es una opción estupenda para dar vida al rostro. Para las uñas prefiero un color pastel como este malva clarito de Les Blancs Nouvelle Bague de L'Oréal.

Para los ojos, empezando por la hidratación necesito una nueva crema para el contorno de ojos y he visto muy buenas críticas a esta de "Avocado" de Kiehl's. Por otro lado, e influenciada por Lisa Eldridge, Sepia Ink Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner de Bobbi Brown es un marrón no muy oscuro que ayudan a enmarcar la mirada sin ser demasiado fuerte y duro, además para conseguir una buena cara, camuflando las ojeras el Instant Concealer de Clarins.

The change of season brings not only colorful and fresh clothes to our closets, it also asks for lighter textures and brightest colours in our beauty routine. So here is my beauty wishes for this Spring.

To start up a new base, being the fan that I am of the Double Wear line from Estée Lauder, this new BB Cream appeals to me in great way. A coral blush is also a must to give a healthy and summery look to the skin, as this Final Cut from NARS. And for the nails, I am loving pastels and I have my eye on this white-lilac tone from Les Blancs Nouvelle Bague de L'Oréal.

For the eyes, influenced by Lisa Eldridge, I am tempted to get Bobbi Brown Sepia Ink Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner, a mid tone brown, that will shape the eyes without being too strong. On the other side, I need a new eye cream and I have heard very good things about "Avocado" Eye cream from Kiehl's, and for camouflaging the dark circles and covering any other fault Clarins Instant Concealer de Clarins.

Have you tried any of this products? Any other recommendations?

What's in my bag? Michael Kors edition

Uno de los posts y videos que más me gusta ver es este tipo de ¿qué hay en mi bolso? Como a muchas de nosotras, tengo esa curiosidad por saber qué llevan las demás y en comparación qué llevo yo... 

Mi jornada laboral es muy larga asi que básicamente necesito llevar conmigo una variedad de productos que me puedan resolver emergencias. Pero también es importante intentar minimizar el contenido para evitar parecer un caracol y que el bolso pese una tonelada, es muy sencillo dejarse llevar... 

Veamos entonces qué os podéis encontrar dentro: 

Bolso: es una compra reciente, después de pensármelo mucho finalmente me decidí por el Selma de Michael Kors en negro. En las dos semanas que llevo con él no he podido parar de usarlo, tiene un tamaño perfecto y es muy cómodo. Estoy segura de que le voy a sacar mucho partido.

De primera necesidad: cartera, llaves y móvil.  El billetero rosa es de Purificación García y al igual que el llavero de Minnie Mouse por su color/forma son fáciles de localizar en el bolso de un vistazo. 

Para no aburrirse: mi querido Kindle. He perdido la cuenta del número de libros que he leído desde hace un año que lo tengo, gracias a que apenas pesa no da pereza llevárselo en el bolso, como me solía pasar con los libros tradicionales. No falla en hacer un poco más entretenidos y llevaderos los interminables viajes en transporte público.

Para luchar contra la meteorología: paraguas y gafas de sol. ¿Las dos cosas? Sí, el primero porque viviendo en el norte es una necesidad y lo segundo porque en el extraño acontecimiento de que salga el sol (hay que ser optimistas), mejor estar preparada ya que soy muy sensible al sol.

Para sobrevivir al día con buena cara: en este neceser de Bimba y Lola meto todas aquellas cosas que podría necesitar durante el día y para emergencias varias: Kleenex, desodorante, toallitas húmedas, ibuprofenos, crema de manos, gomas de pelo... Y además de algunos productos para retocar el maquillaje a lo largo del día: polvos matificantes, corrector, máscara de pestañas y el pintalabios que haya elegido ese día, entre otros.

One of my favourite posts and videos is what is in my bag ones. And as there is a little nosy bug inside us,  here are all of the things I carry with me in a day to day basis.

Bag: this is a recent purchase, after thinking a lot about it I finally crave and get Michael Kors Selma bag in black. I have been wearing this one non-stop for the past two weeks. It is classic, elegant, very useful and  goes with everything.

First need: wallet, keys and mobile phone. The pink purse is from Purificación García and as the Minnie Mouse key ring, they are easy to find inside the bag.

Not to get bored: my beloved Kindle. I have lost track of the amount of books I have read in this little device. You can carry with you lots of books without loading them around and  It always help to make the train journeys more entertaining. 

To overcome the weather: both umbrella and sunglasses. The first one because it is a need living in the north and the second, because in case of sunshine, I am extremely sensitive to it.

To survive the day with a good face: in this make up bag from Bimba&Lola is where I have all the bits and bobs that I may be in need of: Kleenex, deodorant, hand cream... But also is where I save 
the makeup products that I may need as the day goes by: powder, concelaer, blush and the lipstick of chosen for the day.

Empties - Productos terminados #1

He visto este estilo de post en diferentes blogs y siempre los encuentro muy útiles, ya que dan una idea completa de lo que el producto es y de si funciona o no.

He terminado mi Revlon Color Stay (aquí tenéis un post dedicado a este producto) es una base de maquillaje que me ha gustado pero sin embargo en estos momentos tengo bastantes maquillajes que quiero seguir usando y de todos modos en España no es fácil hacerse con ella. El siguiente producto es Astor Mascara Volume Definer esta máscara de pestañas no es ningún milagro pero no está mal, todavía tengo una más ya que venía en un pack de dos cuando la compré. Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer compré este  producto por curiosidad por la cobertura que tiene online, pero dado su precio creo q hay correctores que funcionan mejor que este en el mercado.

Otro producto que fue una revolución en su momento fue Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector, fue de las primeras BB Creams que se lanzaron en el mercado occidental.  Este producto ha ido quedando relegado en mi colección y finalmente me deshago de él porque no me gusta nada y porque además ya estará estropeado. Primero es demasiado oscura para mí y se oxida de un color naranja, segundo porque es demasiado grasa, tercero porque huele demasiado fuerte y cuarto porque como se acerque un poco a los ojos te arrepentirás instantáneamente de haberla comprado, pica más que una cebolla. Otro producto del que me deshago es esta muestra de Lancôme Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector, no esta mal pero tengo la sospecha de que ha contruíbuido negativamente a los problemas de piel que comentaba en mi post de favoritos.

En cuanto a cuidado de la piel: Axovital Contorno de ojos Antiarrugas, lo compré en su momento porque me estaba quedando sin crema de ojos, fue baratillo pero sinceramente no creo que haga nada de lo que promete, pero vamos yo me lo he usado hasta el final, aunque no lo volvería a comprar.

Para el cuerpo Nivea Triple Acción Body Milk Suavizante para piel seca y L'Occitane Food Cream ambos productos muy nutritivos y que he disfrutado mucho usando. Quizás me vuelva a ver las caras con algunos de ellos, aunque habiendo tantas opciones ahí fuera siempre hay algún producto nuevo que llama más mi atención.

I have seen Empties posts in all the different blogs and I always find these very interesting because they give a complete idea of what is a product like in the long term.

I have finish my Revlon Color Stay (if you fancy here you have a whole post about it) it is a foundation I have liked a lot, nonetheless I have another ones on the go and anyway it is quite difficult to get this product in Spain. The next product is Astor Mascara Volume Definer it is an ok mascara, nothing special, I have another one on my collection because I bought it in a pack of two. Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer I bought this one after hearing all of the beauty gurus talking about it, but given its price I think there are better alternatives out there.

Another product that was a revolution is Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector, probably it was one of the firsts BB Creams launched in the Occidental market. This product have been forgotten in my collection and finally I throw it away because I really hate it and it is probably out of date. Firstly It is too dark for me and it oxidizes to an orangy color, secondly it is too oily,  thirdly it smells very strong and lastly you'd better keep this out of your eyes because it stinks like no one business. Another product is this sample of Lancôme Visionnaire Advanced Skin Corrector is not bad but I  am suspicious it might have cause me the breakout I talked about in this favourite post.

As far as skincare goes I have used up Axovital Eye Cream, I bought it because I was running out of eye cream, it is pretty cheap but sincerely I think it does nothing.

For the body I have used up Nivea Triple Action Body Milk for dry skin and L'Occitane Food Cream both products very moisturizing and I have enjoyed them a lot. Maybe I will repurchase them but I am not sure because there are many others options out there to try out.

Oscars 2014: Lupita Nyong'o

Si hay una persona que ha brillado con luz propia en esta última ceremonia de los Oscars ha sido sin lugar a dudas, Lupita Nyong'o, ganadora del Oscar a actriz secundaria por 12 Años de Esclavitud. Estaba impresionante con ese maravilloso vestido azul de Prada que le sentaba maravillosamente. Además eligió un maquillaje muy natural y un recogido muy sencillo con una diadema finita que ayudaban a mantener este look moderno, fresco y juvenil. !Un 10 en todos los sentidos!

¿Cuál ha sido vuestra preferida?

Lupita Nyong'o has bright with its own light in this past Oscar's Ceremony, winner of the Oscar for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for 12 Years a Slave. She was absolutely stunning with that gorgeous light blue Prada gown. Furthermore makeup and hair was simple but effective to keep the look fresh, youthful and modern.
