Love & Peach

Andaba detrás de un colorete coral para la primavera y en un impulso vi éste y decidí comprarlo, la verdad es que fue una muy buena decisión y lo he usado sin parar desde que lo tengo. 

El producto en cuestión es este colorete de CATRICE en Love & Peach (030) un color entre coral y melocotón perfecto para la primavera. La textura es suave, es bastante pigmentado pero fácil de controlar la intensidad que se desea. Sobre la piel aporta un tono saludable al rostro y tiene una buena duración. 

Cabe señalar que es un producto súper económico y que esta marca es accesible en España en diversas cadenas de perfumerías, yo compré el mío en el Arenal por menos de 4 euros.

I was in the search of the perfect peachy-coraly blush and on a whim I saw this blush and bought it, and I can tell you, it was a really good decision since I haven't use any other thing for my cheeks.

The product I am talking about is the CATRICE blush in Love & Peach (030) a perfect tone between peach and coral that gives a healthy glow to the complexion. The texture is soft and it applies nicely in the skin, the lasting power is great and the pigmentation is very good and it makes easy to control the intensity of the color. 

It is a very affordable product (less than 4€!) and you can get this brand in some drugstore chains as the Arenal where I bought mine.

Morning Skincare

A partir de las indicaciones que daba el otro día, abro una serie de posts que resumen mis rutinas de cuidado de la piel, hoy os traigo los productos que utilizo por la mañana. A primera hora no quiero grandes complicaciones, necesito algo sencillo y rápido que me sirva para preparar la piel para el día  y como paso previo al maquillaje.

Comienzo por limpiar la piel, para ello utilizo el Liquid Facial Soap Mild de Clinique, se trata de un jabón suave para pieles sensibles, su resultado es muy bueno, deja la piel limpia y sin restos grasos, pero a la vez no la deshidrata. 

El siguiente paso es recuperar un poco de hidratación con el tónico Serozinc de La Roche Posay, se trata de un spray muy suave que aplicado sobre el rostro ayuda además a mantener el acné a raya. En esta misma línea aplico en las zonas más problemáticas (línea de la mandíbula, barbilla, alrededor de la boca y mejillas) Effaclar Duo de la Roche Posay a modo de sérum.

Por último hidratar, para ello utilizo estos dos productos de Kiehl's que os comentaba en este post. Se trata de la crema de contorno de ojos de Aguacate, que a la vez que muy hidratante no impide aplicar posteriormente maquillaje sobre la zona y la crema de Ultra Facial Oil Free Gel Cream, que aunque de textura muy ligera, aporta la hidratación necesaria para el día sin saturar la piel.

If you remember the tips to skincare that I gave the other day, today I open a series of posts about my daily skincare routine. This post is all about my morning routine, at the beginning of the day, I don't want any fuss, I need something quick and easy to prep the skin for the day.

The first thing is cleansing, for that purpose I use the Clinique Liquid Facial Soap Mild, it is a soft cleanser targeted to sensitive skins, its result is great, it leaves the skin clean and with any residue, and at the same time it doesn't dehydrate the complexion.  

For the next step I use Serozinc from La Roche Posay, it is soft tonner spray that helps to keep the acne in line. In the same way, I use the Effaclar Duo from la Roche Posay as a serum in the most problematic areas of my face (chin, jaw line, checks  and around the mouth).

And last, but by any means less, applying moisturizer, I use the Kiehl's products I talked about in this post. They are the Avocado eye cream, which is a very moisturizing product for the eye area and the Ultra Facial Oil Free Gel Cream which is a light cream that gives the perfect amount of moisture without saturating the skin. Both products create a perfect base for makeup application.

Frenzy

Aunque la temporada dicta que debemos pintarnos las uñas de colores pasteles, vibrantes ó neones, el look nude también pisa fuerte. Mi opción es Chanel Frenzy un taupe suave con un ligero toque violeta que da un aspecto elegante y cuidado a la manicura.

Al aplicarlo, el color es bastante transparente pero con dos capas, consigues un buen color. La fórmula me sorprendió bastante comparándola con otras lacas de uñas de Chanel, dura en las uñas sobre 3 días sin grandes complicaciones, eso sí recomiendo utilizar un top coat para asegurar esta vida útil. 

Con todo, Frenzy es uno de los colores preferidos en mi colección y una opción que nunca falla para una manicura que es apta tanto para el día a día, como para ocasiones más formales.

Even thought the main trends for nails this season are pastels, vibrant colours and neons, there is also place for nude nails. My favourite option is Chanel Frenzy, a soft taupe color with a tiny tint of violet that gives to the manicure an elegant and put together look. 

It is a bit sheer when applied but two coats is enough to get a true a colour. The formulation is not that bad compared with other Chanel nail polishes,  I can get around three days with minimal chipping. I recommend using a top coat to get a better lasting power.

Frenzy is one of my favorite colours in my nail polish collection, a winner option when I don't know what color to go for. It is suitable for your daily routine, as well as, for more formal occasions.

Collective spring haul

Hoy os traigo un recorrido de todo lo que he comprado en los últimos dos meses en lo referente a maquillaje. Como veréis, además de algunos productos básicos, hay una tónica que se extiende entre las compras, una actualización de mi colección de cara a los meses más cálidos. 

Las brochas. Reconozco que nunca le he dado la importancia suficiente a las brochas, por eso y teniendo experiencia positiva con esta marca, decidí invertir en el set Sam's Picks de Real Techniques que contiene seis brochas variadas que conforman una buena gama para el día a día.

La manicura. Dos colores nuevos para esta temporada: el primero un amarillo pastel Maybelline Super Stay en Lookout Lemon y el segundo es Uber, un naranja vibrante de Formula X. Para acompañar a cualquier manicura y asegurar un secado rápido éste de ASTOR en 002-Already dry! 

Labios. El primero es el conocido Morange de MAC y el segundo, y totalmente diferente, el gloss de Maybelline Colorsensational en Cashmere Rose.

La base. Después de leer muchas recomendaciones elegí L'Oréal True Match en N1-Ivory,  por otro lado, teniendo la piel normal-grasa es para mí básico unos polvos matificantes para mantener los brillos a raya, para ello decidí hacerme con los polvos MAC Mineralize Skinfinish en Medium. Para dar un poco de color y ya que estaba detrás de un colorete nuevo me enamoré de éste de CATRICE en Love&Peach. Por último este mini de They are real! máscara de pestañas de Benefit.

Almacenaje. Por detrás de todos los productos podéis ver sutilmente una cajonera de Muji, después de verlas en todos los blogs de belleza, decidí hacerme con ella para albergar mi creciente colección de maquillaje.

¿Cuáles han sido vuestras últimas compras?

Today I bring something exiting, a collective haul with all the makeup products I have been picking up in the last two months. As you will see, appart from some basic stuff, I have been purchasing some products thinking in the upcoming warmer months.

The brushes. I admit that I have never been very interested into makeup brushes but having a positive experience with this line, I decided to get the Sam's Picks set from Real Techniques, it has six different brushes perfect for a day to day use. 

The manicure. Two new colours for this season: the first is the pastel yellow Maybelline Super Stay in Lookout Lemon and the second one, is a vibrant orange color called Uber from Formula X. To make everything dry fast and glossy this topcoat from ASTOR in 002-Already dry! 

Lips. The infamous Morange from MAC and a totally different option, the Maybelline Colorsensational gloss in Cashmere Rose.

The base. After reading lots of positive reviews about this product I have finally purchased the L'Oréal True Match foundation in N1-Ivory. Having oily skin it is a needed step to me to dust a bit of mattifying powder all over my T-zone, so I decided to get the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Medium. To give a bit of color to the cheeks, I fell in love with this CATRICE blush in Love&Peach. And last but no least, this mini They are real! mascara from Benefit.

Storage. In the back of the photo, you can subtly see the Muji Storage unit, after seen them all over the beauty blogs and to give shelter to my ever growing makeup collection I crave and get it.
